Transportation
Orlando
vacation rentals provide you the information
about various means of transportation available
for the tourists on orlando vacation.
Orlando
Vacation Rentals - Transportation
Buses
and coaches
If staying
on International drive and have not got
a car this is probably the best mode of
transport to get up and down the whole
length of I drive. It can get busy in
evening (especially going north from seaworld
when that closes) and at weekends so don't
expect to find a seat each time you use
this service. They do run frequently every
15mins or so throughout the day (apart
from sundays every 30mins) and run from
early morning til midnight. Prices - Please
be aware that no change is given and not
many take $1 bills (best way to get rid
of change.)

Taxis,
Orlando
Taxi is
a very popular option. There are many
companies that offer transportation services
to and from Orlando Airport. Try too organize
your transportation before you arrive
to OrlandoIf you have no time to plan
your transportation in advance, Mears
could be the best option for you. When
you arrive at Orlando International Airport,
you'll find the Mears counters in two
locations: on level two and one. You can
choose Mears shared shuttle or a taxicab.
Waiting time - up to 1 hour.

Rental
Cars
Renting
a car is a very common option to get to
your destination from the airport, especially
for families who would like to explore
the city on their own. MCO has several
car rental companies that are accessible
on-site (terminals A and B): Avis, Alamo,
Budget, Dollar, National. Cons: gas expenses,
parking fees, paying for insurance, have
to buy/rent a GPS or constantly use a
map, not enough space for luggage (from/
to airport). There are numerous options
for your travel from the airport or throughout
the Orlando area. Ease of travel is one
major factor of a vacation. Planning ahead
is one of the best things you can do to
ensure that you have a safe and fun vacation.

Monorail
Walt Disney
World monorail has been in operation since
1971. A double beam track circles the
Seven Seas Lagoon in front of the Magic
Kingdom. Originally connecting the Contemporary
and Polynesian hotels with the Magic Kingdom
and Transportation and Ticket Center,
the Grand Floridian was since been added
to the loop. Disney expanded the monorail
system in 1982 and added a four mile extension
which takes users from the Magic Kingdom
resort area to Epcot's entrance. The monorail
is free to use for all residents.

Airplanes,Orlando
It's a
quick flight from New York to Orlando.
We have always been treated well and have
gotten some nice upgrades. The airport
is well laid out and it is very easy to
find your transportation and your luggage.

Trains,
Orlando
A quick
way to get from one section of the park
to the other is the train that goes around
the park with station stops in Adventureland,
Frontierland, Tomorrowland, and Main Street.

Ship
or Boat, Orlando
Another
great way to get from one place to another
within the Disney is to ride one of their
boats from place to place. We took boats
from the Wilderness Campground to the
Magic Kingdom and also from Wilderness
Campground to the Wilderness Lodge. The
boats run pretty frequently every 10-15
minutes or so. There is no charge for
this service. Take advantage of the wonderful
views offered when you are traveling across
the water.
